His parents and grandparents live nearby; his parents own a pub in town
His wife's extended family lives on Inishmore
Bits and bobs:
- Some of Patrick's family (including his older son and at least one of his wife's siblings) are werewolves. So he's fairly aware of the supernatural existing.
- His wife and son are the best
- Specifically, he's Fianna kinfolk.
- He plays the fiddle.
- Him and his family live in his parents' old pub which has been converted into a residential house. The basement is soundproofed and a baby room to cope with Colin not being human.
- Did I mention that his wife and son are the best
- Colin is adopted. They have no idea who the biological parents were, as the boy was abandoned on their doorstep when he was a few days old.
- Patrick's grandma was kenning but broke contact with her family "so her children would be normal", having seen too many Garou die before their parents and believing that they would be less likely to breed true if they were far away from that society. When she found out about Colin, she was Very Angry TM. She still is cross with Niamh for getting that back into the family, but begrudgingly adores her great-grandson anyway.

2000 - graduates secondary school, works in parents pub for a year
2001 - goes to uni in Dublin
2003/04 - Erasmus year abroad in London, meets Niamh
2006 - graduates with a masters degree after studying Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure at TU Dublin and spends the summer living on Inishmore, gets offered his parents old pub to do up as a residential house, spends the next year doing that while also starting a job looking after and promoting sustainable infrastructure (solar, wind, wave) around the area.
